When Koreans greet each other, they exchange their name, age and some other ‘personal' information. Other wise they will not know their position in society which influences the type of words that must be used between them.
It is common for close friends both guys and girls in Korea to hold hands, they are not homosexual. It is their cultural way of showing their friendship. Because of the population it is not common for people to apologize when bumping into you on the street.
It is impossible for people to drink water directly from the tap in Korea . In public places however, there is filtered water you may get out of a tap: bank, City hall or classes.
In Korea shoes are always taken off and left at the door, this is because the heating system is under the floor and they sleep on the floor too. |
