DANCING
Why Dancing?
Everything exists with energy. Without energy nothing can exist and dancing is very energetic. Physically it is very good for muscle tone and on an emotional level dance and music helps us express ourselves and help us enjoy life. People in all cultures use dance and music to express them selves so at the GACP Dance club we learn different types of dance: Jazz, Cheer, Latin, Belly Dance and various other styles.
How often do we perform?
We currently perform once every three to four months.
We practice every Saturday and Sunday evenings in Annandale from 6pm – 7.30pm
What are your goals?
Firstly we want to develop the talents of a local girl who wants to lead a dance team. (That person doesn ' t already have to be already able to dance, but just have the desire to learn)
Long term we want to give the dance team the opportunity to travel over seas and participate in International GACP or Dance Festivals.
Words of the teacher:
In Korea I did cheer leading. like all of you I met GACP by chance and then I started to learn dancing and cheerleading too. Through cheer I was able to change my life.
Dancing gave my life hope and happiness and also gave me the ability to meet many people. I want to make a Cheer team here in Australia to give them the benefits I have had through dance.
The first special invitation we can think about is going to the German GACP International event next year. And so, together with all of you I want to make an Australian Dance team. That is my current hope and expectation. If you like to dance my hope and yours will be initiated.
MODELLING
How does Peace and modeling connect?
Women's issues of injustice and disrespect are very big all over the world. The Peace Model Department with in GACP hopes to send the message of peace and respect of women and every individual on earth.
Peace is internal and external. Internally, when a women's mind, spirit and body is at ease they are most beautiful because they have peace. Having hope and realizing their dreams makes them shine. External peace comes our own beauty encourages onlookers, not for harmful gain, but to find our individual talents, care for our selves and fulfill our own hopes and dreams,.
Many of the garments we present carry the theme of Love, Peace, hope and illustrate the various cultures present on Planet Earth. GACP Peace Model are so valuable, because of what they promote.
Where we are starting and where we are heading?
Yes, we are a new group but we aim to have one model in the International Peace Model Festival next year in Korea . We also aim to invite Peace Model teams from Japan and Korea in the coming two years to do some combined activities together.

KOREAN CLASS
Interview with the teacher?
Language can be hard to learn and remember so I try to make the class as active and interactive as possible. This helps the students, and teacher, have fun in class and improves retention.
We have two teachers, a native Korean speaker who has learnt English and myself, a native Australian born who has learnt Korean. The best of both worlds!
Why Korean?
We have run three lots of Japanese courses. They have been very successful. We are now adding Korean to the list.
Schedule?
This is a ten-week course. This will include individual practice in writing, reading, speaking and listening. Korean culture is taught as well. The fifth and tenth week include meeting other Korean native speakers and also enjoying Korean food.
Class size?
At the moment our class has less than ten people. This makes it nice for individual attention. We can always accommodate more as we have two teachers.

What is special about the GACP Soccer team is their positive attitude to life:
Life is like a soccer game. It is an individual game and yet it is also a group game.
Practice success:
People here do not just learn about soccer but learn how to succeed in life. The ball is comparable to life; according to how well we can control and play with the ball is how well we can manage our life. In addition, we learn teamwork because we can ' t play soccer by ourselves; it is hard to score a goal alone; we need at least one or two other people to score a goal.
What does soccer have to do with Culture and Peace?
Soccer is a world ' s sport. Sport is special in that we do not need to talk too much to get to know what the other person is like, we can see their character through how they play. Sport is also good for health and our mentality. You ' ll also find many people get their confidence through sport.
In some countries soccer has more spectators, in other countries soccer has more players that means every one, all ages can enjoy soccer and therefore brings many different cultures together, like you see in the world cup or the Olympics. We bring people who like soccer, peace and getting to know about other cultures together. We will also teach you the philosophy of success through soccer.
